Welcome to Savemate. By using our app, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Use of the App

You agree to:

  • Use the app lawfully
  • Provide accurate information
  • Not misuse or attempt to exploit the platform

2. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account security
  • All activity under your account

3. Financial Disclaimer

Savemate:

  • Is not a bank
  • Does not provide financial advice
  • Does not guarantee savings outcomes

All financial decisions are your responsibility.

4. SMS Messaging Terms

By providing your phone number during account creation, you agree to receive SMS messages from Savemate for account authentication and login verification purposes.

  • Message frequency: Varies based on login and authentication activity.
  • Cost: Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan. Savemate does not charge for SMS messages.
  • Opt-out: Reply STOP to any Savemate SMS message at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.
  • Help: Reply HELP to any Savemate SMS message, or contact support@savemates.app.
  • Carriers: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Data sharing: Your mobile information, phone number, and SMS opt-in data will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS messages are delivered via Twilio, our SMS service provider.

5. Third-Party Integrations

Savemate may integrate with third-party services, including but not limited to Plaid (for financial account connections) and Twilio (for SMS messaging). By using these features, you also agree to the applicable third-party terms:

Savemate is not responsible for the performance, availability, or data handling practices of these third-party services.

6. Social Features

You may:

  • Share activity with others
  • View other users' activity

You agree not to:

  • Harass users
  • Abuse the platform

We reserve the right to remove content or accounts at our discretion.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these terms
  • Misuse the platform

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Savemate is not liable for any financial loss
  • The app is provided "as is" and used at your own risk

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
